Dog bite victim in Los Angeles taken to the hospital with sever wounds. Local driver pulled car toward the victim as he was attacked to try to scare dog away. There are too many dogs running stray in the streets of Los Angeles county, including pit bulls and other dogs. Always keep an eye out for stray dogs. If threatened, get to high ground if at all possible, like a tree, fence, or wall. Yell for help. All we can do is try to protect ourselves. Never reach down to try to pet a stray dog. This is inviting danger and you don't know the history of that dog!

Poisoned at your local restaurant?
Food poisoning cases are not slam dunk claims. They are hard to prove. Particularly during flu season. The adverse party may claim you merely had the swine flu. Always keep all receipts, no matter how small of a purchase you make. The receipt will list the food and wine you purchased ( http://www.hugewine.com )you purchased. Keep any valet slips. Don't just go to the doctor to get checked out and get medicine. Demand that a culture be done. Don't be shy about this. It is very good evidence if a doctor diagnoses you with a e-coli bacterial infection, rather than merely a high temperature, low blood pressure, and nausea. Remember, you can't taste e-coli when it is in a small amount in a burger. If you ask for your meal to be cooked "well done", be sure to return it if it isn't done properly.

3rd Row Seats, A Disaster?
Most vehicle accidents FreePi investigates are "Rear End" collisions. A rear end collision is when a vehicle runs into the back end of another vehicle. Be concerned prior to placing a passenger in the third row or back seat of an SUV type of vehicle or van. A hard impact to the rear end of a vehicle by another vehicle may penetrate deeply into the rear end of the impacted vehicle. This can cause serious personal injury to a passenger if the seat is situated too near the back end of a vehicle. Many third row seats are situated only inches from the rear of the vehicle. Investigators at FreePi have investigated vehicles where the rear of a vehicle has been pushed up to the back of the second row seat. In some of these accidents, the damage to the third row seat caused the 3rd row seat to be indistinguishable from the rest of the rubble.

Way Off pilots for Northwest might have been on laptops. Why Fly? The air pilots are supposed to be flying the plane. We can't be using our laptops on the internet while in flight. Yet the pilots can. Good policy. This may be the craziest thing in a while. Missing a city. Driving right by it. Thank goodness for the flight assistants who appearently caught the faux paux. What's next, forgetting to get on the plane at all. Yes, planes can fly themselves, but I'd like to have a pilot on my plane and use the droid system as back up, thank you. They should hire an investigator or security guard to watch the pilots to be sure they are watching the friendly skies.

Have you heard of this guy Steve Phillips. He may be one of a few associated with ESPN who have been accused of misconduct. He is the former GM of the New York Mets. Alleged infidelity coupled with an accusatory woman and his wife appears to have exited the marriage. Is that what you would do. Leave? Is a marriage about love? Money? Companionship? Clean cut, good job, and reasonable track record. Can we ever know what a person will really do? Here is a man know for his exopertise in sports. Hello! He's not minister, is he? Let's get real in America. Who are your heroes?
